I have A LOT to say about this day, but I'll do my best to refrain from using too many words and let the photographs do the communicating!
Where do I start? Kate and Tom are absolute legends. They're down to Earth and laid back, and full of giggles. Ever since our first coffee together, I knew we'd get along well. They both love to adventure and Kate loves heights, and I can work with that.
If you've been following along with my work for a minute, you'll know that Blue Mountains have a special place in my heart. I love everything about it, it represents so much of what Australia has to offer, and it's been a place of peace, rest, joy and wonder for me. I particularly love it on moody days, because I love eerie scenes, it makes it feel so whimsical for me.
Allview Estate in Blackheath particularly has an incredible view of the grand landscape and unique rock faces, and you can't go wrong! My hesitancy for outdoor weddings with grand views like this is always to do with the light. Harsh light is one of the key elements that make or break how photos turn out in an outdoor setting. Thankfully the clouds came over and covered the entire area just as Kate arrived, which gave me a nice, soft, clean light that covered the entire ceremony area and background - couples, when photographers tell you that overcast days are good, they're not trying to make you feel beeter about an average weather. It is really true, and if you're the praying type, pray for overcast weather for your day!
If you love my work and you'd love to work with me, or you're getting married in the Blue Mountains, get in touch and say hey! I'd love to connect and plan something epic with you.
