Over the holidays, I had the pleasure of flying over to Adelaide and helping my best friends move into their new home. After exploring the city and unpacking for a few days, we went on a small road trip to explore South Australia and to photograph and document their new season and recently celebrated 3 year anniversary in December. These are at two different locations, the first half was an hour out of Adelaide city at a place called Second Valley. Beautiful, rolling hills by the oceanside, it was so serene. We found a little property with a lot of tall trees as the sun was still too high for us to take photos out in the open.
The second half was about 40 mins drive outside of the city, we randomly pulled up to a wheat field just as the sun was hitting the horizon, literally right off the freeway. Honestly, dusk is one of my favourite times to shoot, and wheatfields particularly, are one of my all-time favourites. They remind me of the golden fields that cover California. You’ll see why. The tones during dusk are soft, silky and to die for.
