Ben & Steph got in touch with me less than 24 hours before their big day. Yep, true story. The photographer that they had booked couldn’t make it, due to a medical emergency so I was referred as a possible back up. It also happens that it was my only Saturday free that month.

I usually have a structure leading up to the wedding where I get to spend some time with the couple who I’ll be working with and making sure that I build a relationship with them, but this wasn’t possible, and I was somewhat nervous about just diving into a job with less than 24hrs notice. I kind of laugh about it now because Ben and Steph are honestly the most genuine, kind people I’ve ever met. They’re gentle, smiley and easy to be around. I’ve loved seeing just how much they adore each other. There wasn’t too much talking between them, during the afternoon photos, just moments of holding each other and just being together.
