What can I say about these two humans, except that they are nothing short of love epitomised. Athena and I knew of each other for sometime because she is a wedding photographer herself, and together with her husband, Cameron, they work full time as wedding photographers and educators, based out of Seattle, Washington.
Athena is from Australia and Cameron is an American, and once they found out that Athena was able to leave the U.S. during her visa processing, which I hear is quite a process, they planned a trip to Sydney and got in touch to organise a shoot with me so they could have some memories to look back onto.
We drove to the Blue Mountains as it was a special place for them, and I obviously said ‘heck yes!’ cause it’s one of my favourite places. It was a cool afternoon, which some chilly winds, it was overcast and it was perfect.
Normally, I’m a bit more involved with interacting with the couple, but I wanted to honour the moments these two were having with being back in such a special location, and so I decided to step back a bit more and be much and allow the moments to happen while I quietly snapped away. Mind you, photographing wedding photographers is easier from the start as they already know how the process goes from experience!!
Enjoy the blog, and if you connect with my work and you’d like to organise a session in the Blue Mountains, say hey and get in touch! I’d love to hear from you.
