About Me
In order for us to work together, I feel it’s important for you to know a bit about who I am as a person. I live in the suburbs of Sydney. I’m either by the ocean reading a book, or in a cafe journaling, or walking hike trails in the mountains. I’m a sunset guy, it flaws me every day I see it, and I’ve never been able to resist singing along to a 90’s pop song.
I’m a bit of an outgoing introvert (whatever that means). I love times spend in silence, by myself, but I also deeply love people and want to connect with them. I started photography by walking around with a small, Sony point and shoot camera that my parents bought for me on my 14th birthday. It started off with photographing friends when we’d hang out, then it turned to my taking photos of people at their birthday parties. It wasn’t long until I was photographing every chance I would get.
One day, a couple from my church asked me to photograph their wedding, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Everything I loved about people and photography all came together in this event. I’ve always been fascinated by the connections that people have with each other. I’m very drawn to intimacy and people’s different quirks and personalities. It’s what really drives me as a wedding photographer – getting to deeply know people and translating that through images, moments and art. I don’t like inauthenticity – I like seeing things for how they are and experiencing people for who they are.
This pretty much sums up how I photograph. I wanted to photograph the candid moments, the raw moments and the genuine emotions present on your big day.
